land mines

i tripped another mine and the sound
was distant
at one moment i was standing on it
and the next i was miles across the field
a muffled explosion
and a cloud of smoke
this is what is going on inside my head these days
i'm tripping land mines
but the sound is too quiet for anyone to hear
there are no screams
and no limbs are lost
just tiny mines
inside my mind
and the troops keep moving in
we have our target
we have our orders to proceed
i would give anything for a holiday in greece
i'd let the kittens circle my ankles in infinity
and the warm sun would brown my skin
i'd let it do that just that once
i would swim in salty water
and make love to the natives with briney kisses
my hair would grow blonde
and i would make paper airplanesout of
the news of the war.

yes, i live in minnesota and do not have blonde hair. it is light brown, though. pure scandinavian, i am. i am sorry to hear that you live on a land mine. how do you type without setting it off? *grin*

oi vey. there are so many places i NEED to go. i went to paris last year, and will go to italy in the fall of 2003. greece is on the list after that. it just sounds so...welcoming.

it seems i DO set off these land mines every time i type! im also from minnesota,and have brown hair,so there seems to be a pattern forming here.i did italy,and i envy you that you are going there in the near future.(less than a year)

elazar is actualy my name.see leviticus chap.10 verse 6.for example.i was born and bred in st.paul.highland park to be exact.i havent seen much of our beautiful state,never went up north~very sad.i hope you like minni-apple!
