Drink and other things

I know that Leonard Cohen has done a recipe for a drink. It was on a list of things you didn't know about Leonard Cohen that some one posted a while back. Could some one please tell me the name of the drink and how to make it? Thanks.

The drink is called "red needle".

I believed that Leonard Cohen, and my mother,acting independently,
were responsible for the current cranberry-juice-in-everything
campaign that's puckering up the US.
