Yep! Suffering. We are all suffering at one time or another. Few are willing to take into account this side of our reality. The problem is the more they do not want to suffer, the more they are tryng to make others carry their burden, which it does not work as one can not digest a meal for another, it just add endless sufferings to the world. To face and accept sufferings permit to walk on it and go out of it at some point.

The taboo of suffering, yes. It is not of a big use. Anyway it is just an alarm system, sufferings. Too bad that it is shut too often.

It is amazing how this thread reactivates important "lessons" of life I have learned/I'm learning about suffering and go over it. It is like a quick revision. GREAT!!!

all this talk about suffering......just took kitty to the vet she thinks Leonardcohen has Feline Intestuinal Peritonitus He eats alot an is gaining weight but mostly in his stomach, he does not have a temperature....

FIPS is fatal I cannot tell anyone around here because this is a small town and everyone knows everyone else and rumours fly. I take him back in two weeks to see if his contidion has improved. He is sleeping now so cute.

I'm so sorry, Tri-me, LeonardCohen is new to you isn't he? That's really sad. Two weeks is a long time to be without your best friend. I hope he gets better. I know he'll get better. LeonadCohen has a lot of intestinal fortitude. Keep a positive attitude and hopefully it will all work out. Ah, this is really awful.

Sorry I dumped this on you guys. I had to check my e-mails when I got home....

I have recearched Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), he has symptoms, but he did not have a fever (how can there be infection without fever?) and he is very good natured and plays energetically. A friend had an appointment booked today, which I cancelled, she came over and we decide he is just a pot-bellied kitten too much beer LOL. if he has FIP I will know soon as they don't live long after clinical symptoms present. He is 9 weeks this Friday, so I have had him for 3. I have learnt meditation techniques I can use to see us through this.

that "probably didn't have Buddhism in mind" come up with
themes that are congruent with it. I remember thinking about

Oh ya I did tell some friends need comfort the breeder is coming over this evening...

this came from a friend which is encouraging

You know what, though, there was a puppy in the last litter of Dalmatians that was ill when he was very young, and then when he started eating again he would get a HUGE belly, and the rest of him seemed not to be growing… but then things worked out and his parts caught up and he was still smaller than his littermates but he’s caught up now and is healthy as a horse.

Really, he did not strike me as a sick baby, and I’ve seen too many sick babies. The appetite seems voracious, but he does leave food in his bowl… I REALLY do think he’s a healthy little guy who’s doing some catching up after an odd start.
