What momentous event brought so many people to this forum on the above date and time? Or was it simply a computer error?
Lizzy, I am surprised at your lack of observation, given your presence here!
The number is at the bottom of the opening page but you will have to find it! The usual amount is under 20.
Perhaps it included animals on that occasion but they have now all been eaten so that they cannot return - unless as inedible frozen pies!

I've been virtually absent from here since January 4th, up until only recently, when I've been here more often. Yes, I know where the number is 'kept' ~ and that the norm is under 20.
However, since I don't think it can be found in retrospect, back to my original question.....how many was it? [After all the animals are deducted, of course.]

I was there because I heard a rumour got out that Leonard Cohen had actually entered a poem in the poetry contest (the second one) annoymously. Later, I read every poem to see if one of them seemed like something he would write. None of them seemed to be in his "style." But who knows. I would like to think so. There was one that seemed much better (to me) than all the rest. But it didn't even place. It would be kind of embarrasing if he did enter a poem and nobody commented on it.

If I'm getting this right (being lazy and skimming as I catch up) there were 72 people in here on Jan.25 as (in my mind anyway) that is the eve. Joe posted the winning entries for the comp. If someone already said that, I apologize. Like I said, I'm trying to catch up. Meaning: I'm trying to get the 'gist' of what's happening on the board right now.
Ta ta,

Hi Tony,
As I was the intermediary in the comp., all I knew was there was a lot of poetry coming into my computer and going into Joe's. I wasn't aware of any LC activity. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a rumour. There are always rumours, aren't there? Anyway, that's all I can say about that date and time. Hey! Maybe I'll read the whole thread. That would put me in a better position - IE. I'll know for sure what's going on in here.
I didn't mean to 'skim' but trying to catch up with all the new threads as well as the older ones, after a time of being pretty much off the board is a a big job! Jeez, Lizzy does it all the time, too. I don't know how.
Linda.
