i get up slowly and leave the table
i´ve had just enough of that black lable
i dont even have the luxury of cable
so instead i recount an old fable

i go outside to find a muse
and i dont have even a second to lose
for i might give way to snooze
such is the effect on me,booze

the first thing i see,a tree!
its so exotic i might faint
idiot what did you do
where did you misplace the paint!

so i stroll to the corner
and its not very late
no one will rob or kill me
that just aint my fate!

i see people scurry by
a man with a bow tie
a women whose neckline
all preconceptions,defy

i light up a camel
for that is my crutch
it only costs 30 cents!
the buz is a nice touch

i go to reboses
a main ,busy street
they pronounce it hybosis
like a latin word for feet

i came here to teach
and be a good guy
the students i must reach
before i pack up and go "bye"

my portuguese is poor
and barely gets me in the door
but im having fun,galore
'i eat apple and core"

it rains all the time
and hits nintys in december
a weather so erratic,i say
to the same club as u.k.
brazil is surely a member

the locals smile
no beguile
their new president lula
wants to inflate the mula

so me and the brazil
we bear each other no ill will
the allergys are a pest,
yes
but im almost over that hill

sometimes
when i wake and look,
window out
i long for estados unitos
by any which route

the crux of the matter in a word
and i dont mean to affend
no one not even that bird
brazil is beautiful and i love 'er
but i'm just the type to hover

there isnt much of tourism here in são paulo.this creates a more natural brazillian atmosphere,i think. its the business hub
of brazil and perhaps the whole south america.rio de janeiro is supposed to be a party town,especialy when they have the carnevale.i havent been there yet but plan to.just a little info.
