Nine Inch Nails
they have a new album coming out may 3rd (FINALLY!), 6 years after their last album. i'm curious if there are any fans here. i doubt it, but it doesn't hurt to ask. speaking of "hurt," haha, i also figured that since johnny cash covered that song and he was real old and leonard's real old and... i dunno, i'm just trying to make a connection. hahaha. anyway, there's another connection anyhow: trent reznor (who basically IS nin) produced the soundtrack to natural born killers which features 2 nin songs in it, and so he must have known about leonard cohen as well, seeing as there are 2 cohen songs on the soundtrack as well. i'm so happy. i get to see nin in concert at the end of may. first time i'll get to see them and i've been a fan for about 10 years or more now. seeing as their last album came out in '99, i was still in high school, so seeing a concert on a weekday was a no-no for me. their last album before that was in '94, which was before i even started listening to them. so, yeah. this is almost like a once-in-a-lifetime gig. and i can't wait!!!

i do know about "past the mission." i had an ex-girlfriend who was TOTALLY into tori amos when i was TOTALLY into trent reznor. turns out the two of them were an item at one point (or at least very close friends). i don't know about the site being "painted black" in particular, because the site is completely white and VERY minimal. it's all plain white with text in black, and that's about it. hahaha. i was never into collecting all the halos... i just wanted the studio albums. however, since i've been up to collecting cd's lately perhaps i'll begin getting more halos, even though some of them are so hard to find. i have a single for "we're in this together," from "the fragile." it's part three of a three-part set of singles for that song, and this single features "complications of the flesh" (which was a re-working of two songs from "the fragile," "complication" and "the new flesh") and "the perfect drug." on amazon.com right now the lowest price that someone is selling this single used for is $59.99, which is the highest of the three versions of the single. i dunno why, but it is. i guess i'm glad i have this! hahaha.
