I see the price has come down….a bit
Thanks for the link.

It is somewhat astonishing that they specify a release date of January 24 although the original release date from Music Glue was December 6. As obviously CD and DVD exist I get the impression that the box set isn't finished yet which would explain that nobody has received it up to now. It is somewhat unlikely that all dispatched items are lost in the mail or kept up by customs. This however would mean that the confirmation of dispatch from December 4 was premature/wrong. Maybe this was caused by the strange splitting of reponsibilities between Music Glue and Gonzo Multimedia as per the attchment in drsings' post from Friday.

I looked into my Music Glue account today to file a request. My intention was to ask for a replacement copy and if this is not possible for a refund. Unfortunately one has to select at the beginning one of the two options (replacement/refund).
I opted for the refund based on the shobby communication on all of this. I got the shipment notification early December 2024 without a tracking link or any further updates. Music Glue confirmed the refund this morning so at least that's something.
If it becomes available from other, more reliable market places I might buy this from there.

Let's hope we also get some proper archival release from the Cohen estate this year.

I see the Amazon release date for the Box Set has slipped back again, to 31 January.

Thanks for this information.
This enforces my suspicion that the box set has not been manufactured yet and that the confirmation of dispatch was premature (or simply a lie to say it more precisely). Whether this was caused by Music Glue or by Tony Palmer's team remains open. Nevertheless I have now requested a refund, too.

I just received an email from Music Glue regarding my request for a refund. It has the same contents as the one in drsing's post from Friday but surprisingly it specifies a different email address:

Just out of sheer nosiness, I checked Companies House for Gonzo Distribution Ltd.

https://find-and-update.company-informa ... ng-history

Doesn’t look like the company was in a good financial position as of 30 September 2023, with only a slight net improvement from the previous year.

The P&L account was still in deficit to the tune of £43936.

Hopefully business has boomed since then.

A number of options on EBay, with a wide range of prices:

Strange that the US import from rarewaves US (with free delivery to the UK) is cheaper than buying direct from rarewaves UK

Hi Frederik,

as Music Glue has obviously specified two different email addresses how to contact Gonzo Multimedia/International and as there is no progress regarding my request for a refund I would like to know which email address you did use to contact them and to request your refund.
Was the confirmation that you will receive a refund sent by Music Glue or by Gonzo Multimedia / International?

Has anybody up to now actually received the refund?

I logged on via my Music Glue account and was presented the option to be refunded when clicking my order. I had to write a short message about why I wanted a refund. I wasn't expecting much besides the email addresses other forum members shared above.
Much to my surprise I got a message saying my order would be refunded approximately 24h later. A few days later the money was back on my account.

Great that they refunded you without much fuss or any attempt to persuade you to “be patient a little longer”.

Thanks for your clarifications. Good to hear that you received your refund. I must admit however, that I am very astonished that you could resolve this problem with Music Glue directly, whereas others were instructed to contact Gonzo Multimedia/Distribution and were told two different email addresses. I wonder what is going in this crowd.

I sent an email to Gonzo Distribution on Wednesday but still haven't received an answer. I will resend this email tomorrow and will contact Music Glue again to ask them how to proceed.

It would be helpful to know whether anyone has written to Gonzo Multimedia/Distribution and received a reply. If so, please let us know its contents. Thanks.

I have a little hope too that the package will arrive sooner or later. However, if I look at all the posts above there are at least six people who have ordered this package and none of them has received it up to now. It is difficult to believe that all packages are lost in the mail or kept up in customs so long. Thus my hope is very small.
Basically someone at Music Glue or Gonzo.. should note that something went completely wrong if he gets a lot of requests for refunds. But if everyone of us got a different email address to contact no one at the distributor really knows about all the complaints.

Update: As Music Glue suggested, I emailed Gonzo Multimedia, but no answer for a week. So I contacted Music Glue for the second time to request a refund. And now they gave me a full refund on my creditcard all within 24 hours :!:
Now that I have my money back, I will wait for better times when the box is actually released.

This is showing in EBay Netherlands, with 3 available:

This is the lowest price I’ve seen on EBay, and cheaper also than Amazon UK.
