Dear Cohenheads,
I was watching a YouTube vid about the Iraq war, and I remembered my poem I posted here in 2003 “ Hell Bent on War”,which had quite the run. Looking back at it now, I find myself picking it apart to separate my truth, from the propaganda. It made me think.
I’m really glad that I have an “archive” of poetry here, from a certain period of my life, and for the great correspondence, and community I found here.
I regret to tell you that I never saw LC live. I wasn’t sure if I liked his production quality music. Yet, this community has had an incredible impact on my life.
Ania, a graphic designer in AUS, whom I met through the forum, encouraged me, and helped me apply to Pratt Institute in NYC; she digitizing my art for the entrance portfolio. That facilitated an immeasurable influence on my life’s trajectory. I can’t express how much this has shaped my life.
Today marks my 22 year anniversary as a member of this forum.
I’m no longer waiting for the miracle to come.
Salut,
Elazar

Re: 22 years to the day…
So wonderful to see your name here in the forum. I always think of you as being so young when you joined everyone here. Can't believe it's been more than 20 years that some of us have been posting and participating. Happy to hear you are doing well and enjoying the archive you have of your poetry. I remember you well. Take good care.
