The new year has started with sad news. We remember John and Linda from our many meetings starting at Hydra's 2005 meet-up. The picture above is from the Berlin Event from 2006.

Our deep condolences go out to Linda and John’s family. He was a wonderful man and we have such fond memories of him particularly from the walking weekends. I can remember standing on the peak of Cadair Idris after our first climb on the weekend in Barmouth and Wales. He will be greatly missed.

My memories of John are so fond from when he and Linda and their friends and everyone's children came to visit me in Florida over 10 (closer to 15) years ago. He was such a gentle, kind, and soft-spoken soul... a classy and friendly gentleman with a lovely sense of humour. My heart is with Linda and their children in their loss of their beloved John and father... and with everyone who knew him. May John Rest In Peace.
