Oh, just wanted to ask if anyone has read The da Vinci Code? I got it last month for my b'day and haven't as yet read it but what a beautiful book! The one I have says 'Collectors' Illustrated Limited Edition' (or something close) and the copyright page has First Edition writen beneath the copyright notice (I wonder how many millions of first editions of this book there are?). Anyway, I've not read it yet (as I already said) but the book itself is gorgeous! Full of beautiful, colorful da Vinci paintings, pics of the Louvre, glossy pages. Lovely gift. I was just wondering if anyone had read it and what they thought of the story. I plan to start reading it just as soon as I finish what I'm reading now. After all the talk of Winter during the comp. I picked Barbara Kingsolver's Prodigal Summer off the shelf. I love her vivid descriptions of nature in all its glory. The necessary death which enables the re-birth and so on and so on...

Linda-
your book sounds beautiful. I have not seen this collectors edition you have.
i read the daVinci Code last year in 2 nights. It was one of those 'can't put it down' books for me.
Belated happy birthday.
Enjoy your book!! It's a very good story.
I'll put 'Kingsolver' on my author's to check out list

Almost missed this...Good luck with the meals...but if you are stopping her, i'm afraid you will be in a position to pay her, not the other way around. Nice tryFirst, as the new 'Keeper of Celine', I hereby declare that she will be made to eat 3 squares a day. I hate looking at a woman who is a size -0. Now that I'm on her staff, I guess I'm entitled to my 10-20% of her income - so, my time will be very limited as I'll be doing quite a bit of shopping.

Keeper of the Dion - well why does this remind me of undertakers?
Feed her, Linda, until she's every mile a Queen. And feel free with her money and earthly possessions, btw.
Most of all make her work. Maybe you could give her the shovel, or send her to the market.
How about giving her a small boat? Maybe, if Dion's sailin' the lake, she collides with an iceberg.
When you made her real, sellin' Dion by the pound shouldn't be a problem anymore.
I reckon I'm somewhat incoherent.
Alas, poor Yorick! Something's foul in the state of Dionmark.

Something's foul in the state of Denmark, you bet!!! My Father is now, as we speak, maturing some fine Danish cheese in honour of my upcoming visit. And pickled herring!! O Happy Day.
I noticed a boat. The boat was called Princess Christine. Now, if I were to go to Berlin, perhaps, Ms. Dion could row me. We, me and Dion, are more to the West right now. So, she can row me the long way 'round. We'll rest in Hawaii, maybe Japan and see y'all in Berlin. If there's anything left of her, that is.
Ciao for now,
Linda.
