Poem #11

You are right in that it is wonderful to have good friends, but it's always nice to be friends with our own self. Enjoy our own company. Spend time with ourselves without feeling lonely. I like my time alone, I guess because I'm alone when I choose to be. Then, when I am with friends, I appreciate them all the more.

Sometimes, the best time for me is turning off the phone, computer, radio and TV, having the house to myself and just putter about, read, whatever. That is peace and quiet, not lonliness.

If your lack of a girlfriend right now is making you 'sad', I think the time will probably come when that rights itself. Life has a way of taking care of itself. In its own time, of course.

yeah..... i guess you're right. and witty is right. and i know i'm right when i feel the way i do sometimes. so it's all cyclical in that way. but it makes for good poetry! that is, only if c2 deems it fit.

My dear boy,
The critique you offer pinpoints why we are diligently working together.

You lock in on steps and half steps and harp on slightly awkward imagery, never giving the content or intent any thought.

I believe that Joe Way already touched on your points more succinctly while addressing the actual poem.

Now, it's all fine and dandy to point out these things but your inability to scratch the surface is where you fail. This isn't MUZAK where every note is perfect. These are not hired professionals doing their job. You remind me of those early critics who nagged about LC's and Dylan's inability to sing.
