Broken his heart
torn is the voice
do you care if he's fighting
the moment of choice
Do you mind if he wants you
as new lovers do
can he touch you with words
in the flesh coming through
So ragged this man
so corny and plump
a poet who speaks
with a tongue that is numb
He sneers at the angels,
the Farther, the Son
he laughs at the beauty
of which he has none
Oh weep in the night
you runaway child
who gave you the money,
the Devil, and smiled
why was it you did'nt
let go of your voice
who cares if your fighting
