not true at all. I think you keep very bad company and I think you are oversensitive but that apart you seem fine. and you also want to write poetry so that separates you from the trolls.
"SECOND OF ALL: i still believe that c2 and paints are one in the same."
nope, paints is a useless troll who lives in my trash can along with other useless trolls like avalon, glory hog, ydf etc.
"THIRD OF ALL: poem #2, "soft 17," i wrote in one sitting, and it did not take me that long. i'm not a person who cares all that much for revising and editing and all that crap. "
poetry writing is not compulsory, it's voluntary. you are absolutely free to write at your own speed and reject the idea of revising. it also means you are effectively rejecting the idea of improving which is, imo, a shame, but your choice.
I agree with you that this subject is arid and clearly pissing off a few innocent bystanders. I am happy to leave it there. But i do ask you, T, seriously to consider not feeding the trolls any more.

well, y'know, man, you do the same thing. haha. so doing be pointing a finger at me here. instead, when YOU feed them you taunt them and that's cruel.
and, i'm sorry to disagree, but poetry, for me, is not ALWAYS voluntary. sometimes it IS compulsory, and i DO just jot down or blurt out whatever i feel like. ever heard of stream of consciousness? or is that not considered poetry where you come from?
when you say i keep bad company does that mean the people that side with me or i side with are bad? or does that mean i cause uncomfort wherever i go on this board?
because i wish not to revise most of what i write does not mean i cannot improve, nor does it mean i reject any such notion of improvement. i might see where it could LEAD to that, but i see no direct correlation. there's always ways to improve ANYTHING without having to "revise" something. besides, changing and revising doesn't always lead to something better.

just for the record
I'm neither paints nor clitic2 or anyone else. I kinda thought ydf and paints could be the same person, but it don't matter nowt I guess. I was just letting Isobel know that I agreed with her observation, like.
I am still curious by this thread tho because c2 always goes on an on about teratogens bad company. What, are you his dad, then?

of course you don't cause discomfort whenever you go on this board. I have not kept count of who "sides with you". I am just aware that there are a number of trolls here who contribute nothing but stir constantly and you have been easy meat for them to enlist.
try to draw a sensible inference from their disappearance during any competition and then their reappearance soon after with shit stirring threads.
to answer one of your questions directly, no I don't think trolls like paints are "bad" in the sense of evil. one of my main objections to them are that they are simply poor at what they do. there is no flair or originality to their trolling. no show of wit at which to laugh, no flowing writing to admire. and putting their trolling to one side, they don't write poetry or offer crits.
and these are the reasons why I don't reply to them any more and have never been curious as to their real life identity. I suppose I see them as just minor-league saddos.

unfortunately critickets-on-yourself, as a poet in a forum you are producing something that will be read more widely than just your mates, it is called an audience. Some of us are trolls, some of us untalented in your particular strengths, some of us admirers, some detractors, and some willing to bring down. Accept it, just because you can (arguably) write 'good' poetry, don't make you an intellectual nazi. Or did you just want a hand job then?

I'm really glad you have picked up on that marvellous line I keep promoting. but your rhythm is all wrong. try it this way- "oh, if you only came here for a hand-job you should have said so at the start". it's just the tweaking of the pace that makes all the difference. the trouble is that you can't necessarily give a person a sense of timing if they don't have it naturally.
and the secret of good comedy *is* timing. for example, if you, the audience arrive on Tuesday, and I perform on Thursday that's...
but with a strict time-limit when critic2 has to collect one of his daughters from religion school.graduate wrote:it's a fabulous joke, very multi-functional.
Eg (if I may)
Q. Why do trolls take an instant dislike to C2?
A. Because it saves time
Of course, the fault in the logic is that it doesn't really save time, because keyboard rage can be very time consuming
