You are quite right. Please accept my sincerest apologies for such frivolity. Hopefully this will not require my getting another tattoo -- do you have any idea how painful that is?

Instead, I shall offer this to you as repentance, my own humble salad:

You promised me a Salad link to The Onion. I don't see it. I do however see that a joker has added some green stuff on your plate. Good luck for avoiding it.

I do like The Onion but the formula is quite predictable. what do you think?

I agree. It is fun and amusing every now and then, but grows tedious very quickly. Someone once gave me a whole book of The Onion articles, and I don't think I got past page 2.

The thing is, these days, satire has lost most of its bite, because the "real" news is just as absurd, there is no longer any distinction.

Obviously you have a jaundiced view as Donald Rubio is getting closer to winning the Democratic election race in your country. You must be thinking of immigrating to Mexico where Trudeau is poised to oust President Ben and Jerry Sanders.

Im very glad to read your comments about the Onion as I am frequently accursed by Pitta of having no sense of hummus

When "The Donald" becomes "Leader of the Free World", as predicted by HRH Geoffrey of the Kingdom of No-Way, there will be no hummus, only things such as Freedom Fries, chicken fried steak, and Turducken -- deep fried, of course. You see, nobody can make this stuff up anymore: hyperbole and the ridiculous are everywhere!

As for Ben and Jerry, "Chunky Monkey" is my favourite! Hold the mayonnaise.

In view of your cream of choice I am obliged to transplant, from another thread, Karren B's disgraceful plan to attack the Judiciary, and I end up with yukky thoughts about spanking the monkey

Now, who is lowering the gravity of this place?

Perhaps Karren B is the one who ought to be spanked for starting this train of thought, but considering that avatar of hers, she'd probably enjoy it!

This is WAR! No-one strolls on here with their tattooed legs and insults my old mate Karren B by calling her a right "slapper". It's an official outrage!

No need to worry about my alleged plan to attack the Judiciary Sue, as I only spank on request! Can’t say I’ve spanked any monkeys recently?

Only if I were administering it. ;-)

Right slapper, left slapper; I’m quite ambidextrous in that field, although I find a spanking paddle easier on the hand... :D

For some reason I can't get the thought of old fashioned puddings out of my mind. :?

listen lisa. i've got some bad news, and some really bad news. what do you want first? ok, well the bad news is that leonard seems to attract some pretty weird people. for some reason they just flock to him. the really bad news is that they're in here. that's why i always keep my distance and don't get too involved. one's tongue doesn't always detect every little bone hiding in each mouthful of fish.

My dear Geoffrey, your warning has come a bit too late...

What have I got myself into?

I am not the fighting type, I am really just a gentle soul (don't let the tattoo fool you! Looks can be deceiving -- just check out Sue's lawyer for proof of that!). Help!

that's not bad news, what a boring world we would live in if everyone was 'normal' or pretended to be normal - viva the weird, the strange and the wonderful!

I've never considered Geoffrey to be one of those wired people to whom he refers. He doesn't take drugs, he is not buzzy. Geoffrey is a patrician prescence here, a twinkly reminder of an age gone by.
