Thank you for the replies. Feels to me that holydove has a correct answer with "The Captain."
However, "The Captain" isn't the one that I had in mind. The yet unidentified song has a rebuff
with derision at what may be a maximum level. A character is taken down by the rebuff and
presumably by the way it was delivered.
