trenta-sei. interesting poetry forum

Post by Sideways »

As young Cate says. We are the forum of "interesting poetry". How about we write on the Cohen geezer...

Actually, if I get time later I will write l'homage to his worst ever song, you well know the dirge I mean.

I don't think I can beat my record 7 minutes but I will try for less than double. 14 mins, 36 lines, Cohen's biggest mistake.

Oy, that was hard. It took me 16 minutes to compose summat about the awful song and awful manager.
Anyway, here it be.

------------------------------------------

There's a bird on the wire
Shoot her down, shoot her down.
Time for Tweetie to escape
On the ground, on the ground.
Bury his worstest ever mistake
Celebrate and hold a wake

Shoot her down, shoot her down
white feathers on a birdy's side.
Wears a white suit and gown
and there she lied through tweetacide.
Here and there, Mr Cohen
"Hello" he drawls, "I must be going".

Time for Tweetie to escape
Ornithological Semaphore.
Tired, flagging, with Birdy's Cape
Consensual flapping, squawky whore.
Pay artist what he's worth
For this hopeless dirge - a spit of earth.

On the ground, on the ground
of insanity.
His defence is sound
the song's inanity
forced him to kill.
"Thee, thou" lyrics turned him ill.

Bury his worstest ever mistake,
under the mud is Kelly Lynch
Justification is Lenny's take,
Plans a foot, she took an inch
In his antique kitchen, recipe liberties she took
Like a night with an old-fashioned cook.

Celebrate and hold a wake,
together once in Lovers' Clinch.
All his cumming, it was fake
Lenny Cohen, Kelly Lynch
There's a Bird on the wire
Send to jail, set on fire.

Hello so-called Cate, thank you so much for your scathing personal criticism of my blunder in Stanza 3. I received the crushing condemnation of my humble and sincere effort via my new $25,000 Apple iWatch just as I was completing my final blind pass on the Lacy Bra section of the Lingerie Round in the Quarter Finals of my local Freestyle Disability All-Comers Open Closed Drug-Free Twirly Whirly Cup. I was so stunned by your nastiness that I burnt the model upon whose ample breasts the Bra then laid. Always thinking of others first, I immediately reassured the now-deformed bitch that she had another nipple somewhere on the other side of the body and she should stop a'moanin' and a'groanin' and generally shut the fuck up.

But in the interest of Worldwide Harmony and Peace, next time, how about you think before rushing in to damn mere mortals who make the occasional small slip, (which incidentally was the very next event, the Small Slip section of the Lingerie Round).

I have offered a modest amendment above, but is not so easy to write when one's soul is tear-stained from an wholly unwarranted, gratuitous, vicious, and blatantly racist attack.

Whilst entombed in sadness at your assault, I can nonetheless appreciate your psychological and pathological needs to expose publicly the frailties of your inferiors. What shocked me above all, and yet below other factors of your evil, was the devastating tone of your bloody hit, the way you mocked me, your ridicule and extreme sarcasm. Was that really so necessary to trample on my pure essence?

My will to live and, far more importantly, to iron competitively once more , is draining from my very being

Sue, once a real Woman, now a real Mess.

Dear Squawky Whore,
I mean to the writer of the new rhyme squawky whore
your has rhyme is much improved but it's 6:45 a.m. in the morning here and all your squawking is waking the birds that are trying to sleep here.

Stop complaining, tuck in your rhymes and behave.

btw - the person who gave you that apple watch may have overstated it's value slightly, hope you didn't do any special ironing favours for them

Are you suggesting she bought me, purchased my "favours", if you will? Is there no end to your in sin you ations? You are shameless. The most we have ever done, me and my Sugar Tart, is let off steam together before she pressed me repeatedly.

Sue, fast approaching breakdown under the weight of so-called Cate's aggression.

PS I can hardly believe I am even talking to you after your Uber Hostility but I am determined to make you regret your hateful attitude to me and also I want you to suffer grievously with jealously, so here is a photo of my watch. Do you seriously doubt this is worth $25,000??!!

Oh Cate I don’t think that was a very good idea... firstly pointing out to everyone that she'd made a mistake in her Trenta Sei, calling her a Squawky Whore and then accusing her of selling her favours for a cheap trinket …I think you may have upset her a little!
Sooner you than me!! :)

Loved your Leonard themed Trenta Sei

You really don’t like that song do you!

Very clever as usual… I liked the modest amendment. Nice to know you took a little longer this time.

Cate will definitely be jealous of your new watch… I have actually seen it on sale for just over 34,000 VND (Vietnamese Dong)…
Though I prefer this one…

Ha, a bird on the wire watch!

Hi Karen, I would never suggest that Sue would 'give' away favours for trinkets. I had just assumed that she was a professional presser, but perhaps she gets her money other ways.

Sue that is indeed a lovely watch, myself I would have preferred it with trains but buses are nice and the printed minutes must be very helpful to you when timing your events. The woman who wears that watch would probably be much more interesting to have coffee with, then one wearing an apple watch - she might not respond to your e-mails as quickly but you just gotta know there's a cool tattoo hidden somewhere.
