Earlier today I posted about our resident Mother Hen, LIzzy. She is an easy target and I was too harsh in the words I used. I have since deleted the post.

I apologise to her if she read it. I know it is very important to her to rescue everyone, including those with their feet up, watching the TV, eating cream cakes and having fun.

Lizzytish -I am not your therapist and will aim not to comment again about your schtick.

uncalled for 2 cents

I see people going ‘off topic’ in most of the longer threads,
for example someone here at the forum, posted a thread about a specific concern that he had and now people on that thread are not talking about that topic at all. right now on that thread somebody is there talking about her transmission – well that’s okay, that normal. It’s good conversation to start one place and allow that discussion to wind through different topics/ideas/thoughts.

I don’t think it’s different in this poetry/art/music section. I think that if something that you do, sparks something in somebody else to do something of their own – that’s really cool and of course in return you might get sparked again yourself – again really cool. I know that some people post their work and they’re really not looking to engage with people, they’re just sharing (that’s good too) but there are others, like Sue or Mat (or me) who seem very happy with you taking an idea from them and running with it in your own way. I don’t know how Jimmy feels, he seems inviting, it didn't look to me like he was offended by somebody getting an idea from his poem and running with it (and yes Sue was playing, play is just another way of stretching your legs – keeping you ready to run).
I wish that I was more like Sue – that I was willing to take more chances, that I was less inhibited with what I say out load. Yeah, I know the downside would be that sometimes I would mess up what or how I said something, even more then I do now, but every strength comes with it’s own hiccups.

Well, "Cate", (real name "Geoffrey" as we all know), when I was a little girl my mom used to say to me- "If ever in doubt Sue, ask yourself one little question - "what would Johnny Goldsmith do?". I have lived by that guidance ever since. Many of you will remember the Vancouver Hoover Scandal of 2003, when I was in the Eastern Seaboard preliminary Round 2nd Leg qualification play-off in the Regional area heat, Veteran Division, Semi Amateur, Blindfold Open free-style Ironing Independent Drug-free, Low Cholesterol Dressage Cup, widely reported in the local free sheet, "V for Victory, V for Vancouver", page 19, right hand column, 3x3 cm box,- 2 minutes to go and as I was going for a Cuff finish, in comes my opponent with a vacuum cleaner claiming she was chasing an elusive piece of fluff, I was debating whether to press her fucking ugly face in with my tool when I recalled Mom's guidance. I asked my self "what would Johnny Goldsmith do?" and took the bitch gently by the throat and recited 18 "poems" to her. She died within years of that incident and that is hardly a coincidence. Whilst the bus driver that ran her over later claimed in Court he had never even heard of Leonard Cohen, to me it is all one Giant Gestalt and that's where Lizzy both comes in and goes out. What damn right has Jimmy to enjoy himself without getting permission from Mother Hen first? I hope he has learnt his lesson now and will actively seek to be rescued by Lizzy any future time he is tempted to be happy.

Also, Dear Cate/Geoffrey- I am very sorry to hear you have the hiccups and I trust Lizzie will soon sort that out for you.

Tell you what, lads...
I'll just mosey on out of here and add a new poem so you can then continue with whatever it is you want to do regarding a discussion on ironing and the quality, or lack thereof, of the state of fluff in the universe's washing driers (dryers??).
Meet me in another thread very soon....
.... the Muse once again beckons and one never knows what comes out of the wash..... oh dear.....
Oh bless the continuous stutter
of the word being made into flesh
