No New Tour in 2015

Thank you Jarkko for keeping us informed.

While I am disappointed to hear this news, I am so very grateful for the last wonderful years of Concerts. Leonard has made us all so very happy with his tours, new albums and DVD's. I am sure his fans, who have been lucky enough to have followed his career since the beginning, never imagined these bonus years. I want to thank the many Forum members who made available discs of Leonard's earlier concerts, to people like me who was introduced to his music much later. I was so lucky to actually attend the last two concerts in 2010 in Las Vegas (thanks to Jarkko and the Forum). Also Boston in 2012.

Thank you Leonard, and your whole amazing Band, for these years. I love you all.

Yes, this was one day I wished I wouldn't have opened my Forum, but just like Cheshire girl wrote, we were vey lucky that Leonard gave us 5 years of joy and happiness. I have seen him numerous times and even met him in person in Memphis. This was my wildest dream come true.
Thank you Leonard for all your beautiful music, the wonderful memories, and maybe one day we will see you again.

Haven't been here in a while and I had a dream last night that I missed a tour announcement, found out there were a bunch of presales coming and we were scrambling to figure out if/when/where/$$$? etc...

(Though I knew it was only a dream because one of the tour stops was Samoa. )

But figured I'd better get over here and see if there was any news. Very sorry to hear this. Auckland may have been it, folks...

I was there in Auckland, last December, just mere metres from our man and I remember feeling at the time that this was probably it forever.

I've seen him live 5 times so cannot complain!

From what I can gather there seems to be yet another new album in the wings for 2105 and that in itself is wonderful.

All I can say is that I wish Leonard peace, happiness and a relaxed retirement - in so much as he'd ever take it easy!

Sounds like a 'wish fulfilment] ' dream !

I often have vivid and complex dreams , which - of course- while you are having them are a kind of reality.
Some of the dreams definitely come into the category of ' wish fulfillment'.
Haven't yet though discovered a way of controlling what the dream will be !
If only i could find a way of dreaming a full leonard concert , including live versions of popular problems songs ........
well that would be a good night !!

any ideas how to do that would be received with interest

I eagerly monitor this thread in the hope that I will see something like "Tour Later in 2015 Now Not Ruled Out," or "2015 Tour Being Reconsidered," or even "No 2015 Tour Does Not Necessarily Mean No More Tours."

While waiting to see what the future holds, we are thankful for all the years worth of Mr. Cohen's work we can listen to, the memories of the concerts we were lucky enough to see, and the many interesting fans we were able to meet.

And I wonder if the new album will be the next studio album (half in the can already), or "Songs From The Road 2013" (or "Songs From The Road Vol 2").
There are certainly plenty of songs that didn't appear on "Live In Dublin" that could be on the next live compilation, irrespective of what it is called.
The differences in band personnel, and thus arrangements, coupled with the fact that some songs* had not been performed on stage by the time "Songs From The Road" was released, would result in a significantly different album.
