Last night I went to a Peter Gabriel concert in Sheffield ( which was very good).
Just before the concert there was an announcement that the show was being recorded through the soundboard and would be available for purchase on line.
Each show will be recorded live off the soundboard, and mixed by Peter’s Front of House engineer, to ensure you get an authentic in-the-room live sound experience.
This is a 2-CD set of the complete and unedited concert. These professionally mastered and manufactured CDs (not CD-Rs) are packaged in cardboard mini (LP-style) gatefold sleeves that add to the bootleg look and feel.
The Encore Series will be offering a free 24 bit/96khz high-resolution digital download of the show with every purchase. The download code will arrive with the CD order.

This posting is not meant to be advert for Peter Gabriel - but if he can do this - and presumably make a profit from it, then why can't Leonard?
A great idea for any future tours (or even the past ones!)

That's a great idea, for sure, but I'd say it doesn't work for such a famous perfectionist.
BTW, brilliant Caro Emerald did the same with her recent UK tour: each of the concerts (with one exception) is available for a free download: http://www.caroemerald.com/concert-download/
UPD: the collection is supplemented with the recordings from the Netherlands 2014.
UPD-2: unavailable now
