Ha!

by the end of year, man, it's next week. The first book in 20 years. I am totally shocked right now. This is the biggest news this century. I haven’t been this happy since the... well, was I screaming when TNS was announced? That was like second coming.

It looks like they're on to you, Mr. Petit.

Check out Jarkko's message in 'Forthcoming Book' - it doesn't look like it will be out for about 9 months or so. At least.

The small square symbol is the mark of "Jikan" the Silent One, Leonard's Name as a monk. It is his personal symbol, a logo if you like. You will see it here and there in the cd booklet, and also in the new book.
Thanks a lot! :D Even with my capacity of extending the meaning of symbolism in all possible and impossible directions I could not find a match with any song or album. 'Never thought to look at it this way. :?

I like what you have done for DH. :D

the picture actualy made me laugh. reminded me of Hollywood movies from '80s where there'd always be something covering 'adult' material. just like a candle and a tin here covers nipples of a woman on the drawing.

don't know if it was supposed to be funny, but i like it.

I didn´t read all the recent posts, and I ignore if this subject was raised:
don´t you find the words in Undertow (one of my favorites in DH) prophetic?
This beautifull song is associated in my mind with those terrible images from the tsunami in Asia

I set out one night
When the tide was low
There were signs in the sky
But I did not know
I´d be caught in the grip
Of the undertow
Ditched on a beach
Where the sea hates to go
With a child in my arms
And a chill in my soul
And my heart the shape
Of a begging bowl

(a chill in the soul, I guess that describes what you fell when you wtach the survivers...)

You're right with what you're saying about how this song comes across in perspective with the Tsunami. "My heart the shape of a begging bowl" ~ both literal and figurative begging by the victims, in addition to "a chill in my soul" that you've already given. This also would not be the first time that Leonard's songs have been considered prophetic in their timing and content.

Wow Jaime, that is a powerful insight. Thank-you for sharing that, I will have to listen to it again right now. The voice in the song only pushes your observation deeper.
