Thanks
I'm not familiar with the guitars, I must say, but I remember some characteristics: nylon string, Spanish? Others will know more.

As for manufacturer, jurica says half-acoustic Gibson. Now I also remember the Gibson form the stills and videos.
spinout, here's the team trying to gather a body of questions for the FAQ project. Our problem is that most of us is to deep into LC's work to know what frequently aksed questions from the "newbes" are. I like this Q you asked and added it to list; as you're the "newcomer", can you try to ask some questions here about Cohen and his work so we can simply saw how does it work?
thanks a lot in advance, and welcome (and stay!)
Tom

After a quick look at some concert photos I'd say he clearly uses a couple of different guitars. One might be a half-acoustic Gibson, others definitely not.
At least one guitar he used over the years again and again seems to be a rather old Spanish Concert Guitar (don't ask me the brand... definitely not Gibson).

It was about 30years ago i saw him at a consert in Sydney Australia and i think he had a couple of guitars on stage with him, the support act was Leo Kotkie..

when was the first?
has he ever been Married?

As I thought friends, the first Qs are always about the biographical facts. I had discussion yesterday with my fiance, she said the first Q eveyrbody asks about LC is "with which famous women he was". She also contributed the question two years ago, when the first FAG failed, and it was "Has he ever been married?" Janis Joplin, Nico, Suzanne, Marianne, Joni Mitchel, they all need be there in some way. (Sorry Jurica!)

Yes, many people want to know about the person behind the performer.
Newbie to Forum, and newbie to Leonard are in some ways different; yet, in others the same. There are still questions of import.
Congratulations on your fiance status, Tom. I wasn't aware of this new/older[?] development in your life.......perhaps, as long ago as two years?

I simply started to call my girlfriend "fiance". I guess there's no more those old ceremonies and levels
We're now more than three years together.

We're planning to move into our apartment this summer, and I read that French sociologist Jean-Claude Kaufmann in his book (Living as a couple, I think it's something like Sociology of couple in French) claims that in modern relationships (mostly non-married) the moment of traditional mariagge is replaced by moving into own flat
