Very nice Steven. I have been to Billy Bob's a few times. Once with a tall blonde Texan. Sweet memories.
I have heard Billy Joe Shaver's music from other artistes many times - think it is time I get one of his albums. Maybe the live at Austin series. If you don't mind, I am posting here a link to a live performance by John Hiatt of one of his own songs that he dedicates to Billy Joe Shaver.

Hi Kush,

Thanks for the link to the terrific song. Emmylou Harris covered the song on one of her albums.

I haven't been to Billy Bob's yet. Will try to get there and to some other Texas venues, maybe this year. Your
mentioning a tall blond Texan reminded me of someone that went with me to a particular concert. She was
"as sweet as Tupelo honey," most of the time, to me, and very attractive. On that night and other times,
probably did some bouncing down the street as in the "Love Is So Sweet" song; memories from a long time ago.

Steven,

I checked out couple of Live albums of Billy Joe Shaver on itunes - the Live at Billy Bob's as well as Live in Austin series. Will get one of them - they each have a unique sound. I am leaning towards the Austin album for the guitar. Icy Blue Heart has some really terrific lines...for strangers in the night!
