Hong Kong Harbor breakfast story

Hong Kong breakfast story

By traveler standards we were old friends
Having met in the Hong Kong Harbor View Hotel
A day or so ago
And here in the lift
On our way up
We said our hello’s as he invited me to join him for breakfast
We listened and laughed as we swapped histories
He was a Swahili speaking Indian who studied in Greece
lived in Canada
began a white-goods manufacturing business in Texas
and was now in Hong Kong to set up manufacturing in China,
it was 1990 and he was ahead of his time.

I was born in Nigeria to a wealthy Indian family
When the African’s liberated themselves we were expelled
minus our $50 million of generational accumulated wealth.
My family fled to Europe, all but broke
I was sent to Greece to study
…and as he talked in a lost world of dreamy Indian air, I broke into his thoughts

Every man has a favorite story, a moment in his life;
what was yours?

Ah! That is easy, he replied.
In Athens they have large white buildings
Open air restaurants outside on the top of the roof,
beautiful in the Mediterranean summer evenings,
and on one such night I was sitting at my table alone
when the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life
drifted into my view as she walked towards and past me
long, white, sleeveless summer gown hanging over her brown shoulders
falling to just above the floor
and her hair!
Long, long and thick and dark
flowing around her back
and I called to her, as she passed by;
I invited her to join me at my table for the meal.

Oh no, she politely smiled,
I am not allowed to be seen in public with men
…are you staying at this hotel? She asked quietly
Then tell me your room number and I will visit you later this evening.

And I thought what a pleasant way to be rejected;

2.30am and a knock at the door took me from my slumber.
Half asleep and half annoyed
I slowly swung the door not knowing what to expect
…and there she was
entering my room
closing the door
that gown falling from her shoulders
hair loose and alluring
…removed the towel I had placed around my waste,
ushered me into the shower
bathed me
dried me
and took me to my bed;
caressed and covered me in the shroud of her hair;

“…and do you know, by the dawn, there was not one square inch on my body
where she did not put her c...”

Now, that is eroticism supreme, Mat.
Such a story!

it is

a captivating and attention keeping piece of writing and thoroughly enjoyable :D.

There is something very wonderful about traveling and meeting others, hearing their stories and little pieces from their lives. Hong Kong must be hot bed of travelers going and coming from all over the world.

thanks, Lizzy and Cate for saying hello.
Of all the stories I have heard since and before, this is my favorite; and he told it with such a calm and appreciative measure.
What a compliment she paid him!
I am not sure that many women understand how thankful some men are when they are spoiled is such a lovely way
...and not only that he was spoiled, but, that she was comfortable enough in his company to abandon herself to her desires...this is another compliment of equal measure.
I found it interesting and reassuring that although this woman had been brought up in a restrictive culture, she was still all woman underneath that veneer. Human beings are human beings, after all; and some have freer minds and feelings and actions than others, no matter what their upbringing.

For me, his story, his experience, her abandonment (of buddha proportions) was a celebration of Life itself. Holy ground for this saunter-er.

Mat.
