I am still using the old counter I found back in 1995 when The Files website was launched. Unfortunately it is nowadays counting hits to the front page pretty randomly. I get exact logs from the server (nebula), and those numbers show 3-5 times higher activity than the counter on my front page. So I should have changed it long time ago.
