A not-depressing playlist...

Post by HelenOE »

I've been coming across people on Twitter who still think Leonard Cohen songs are all depressing. What are your suggestions for songs best calculated to refute that presumption?

Every song refutes that presumption. Can't think of one that doesn't. . .

I totally agree, Rachel. Whatever could be depressing about Leonard Cohen?

Helen - If people use the word "depressing" about Leonard's music, they clearly don't "get it" and probably never will. If you really think it's important to try and persuade them otherwise, you would probably do best to suggest they listen to the "I'm Your Man" album. If that doesn't shift their perspective, then forget it!
