My favorite is " I' m your man ".
Because I dreamt of him writing this song for me.
" The instructions were never to lament casually. And if one is to express the great inevitable defeat that awaits us all, it must be done within the strict confines of dignity and beauty."
Right now - Different Sides. Essence of LC and a propensity to appeal to the populace.

It's hard to have a favorite Leonard Cohen song, he have so many great ones! But my favorite have to be First We Take Manhatten, without it I may never start listen to him. And Hallelujah, it have too get the credit for being so powerful to me. In every mood I can listen to that song, and I have this feeling, that everything gotta be alright! And Hallelujah is the only song to have so great effect on me.
Sorry about (maybe) some mistake to my writing, but I'm very unsure when it comes to talk, write and understand english.
Sisters of Mercy. I often think there should be a more recent song that is my favorite but I always
Keep coming back to Sisters of Mercy. I especially like it on Cohen Live in concert, it's just
Beautiful!

I'm new to Leonard Cohen so this will probably change but I really like Joan of Arc or Who by fire. Still getting into Old Ideas...unfortunately too late to catch any of the 2012 tour. Hopefully he will tour again next year as I hear the shows are just incredibly moving.
There are still tickets available for concerts this year. If at all possible, you should try to get to one. Welcome to the forum!
Best regards,
Mary

It's impossible to name a ''favourite'' since I like so many but right now my current favourite is ''Master Song''.I think it is a very underrated LC song .
Robert - If you're new to the Forum, I'm sure that the discussion we had on "Master Song" will be intersesting to you. I've just pulled it up again next to this thread, for reference.
He has many great songs, it´s hard to choose only one favourite song....now I like Lover lover lover, You Have Loved Enough and Waiting For the Miracle the most .
