Yep, tonight's the night.
It will be extra special sharing the Seattle concert experience with good FRIENDS I have met at other Leonard Cohen concerts.

Wrapped.
Curfew and curtain come down in a frenzy and before the UHTC band has hit the green room, the UHTC crew has begun disassembling the traveling circus city before boxing up the bits and packing them away into awaiting trucks.

With a wonderful intro My songs are kind of bleak. But underlying the whole dismal affair is actually a tiny thread of light.
I studied religious values...past of non-attachment...one of my desires is to have my bounds like a spoon through noodles

UPDATE: (Thanks to Inna and Holydove)
This is what he said: "My songs are kind of bleak, but underlying the whole dismal affair is actually a tiny thread of light. I studied the religious values. I actually bound myself to the mast of non-attachment, but the storms of desire snapped my bounds like a spoon through noodles.

First of all, thank you for this video and all the others you generously share with us. But didn't he say in the intro "to the mast of non-attachment?" And what was the verb he used in relation to it? Just curious to get it right, because it is always such a treat when he speaks on stage. In any case, thank you Arlene.

A great show, although not without its low points. I know it's probably heresy to offer any sort of criticism on this board, but I think a lot of people would agree that some of the music behind Leonard's songs has taken on a certain "soft rock" feel that does not always serve them well. There was a stretch near the middle of the concert (starting around "Democracy") where I felt like things got really bogged down. But then that last hour - "Hallelujah," "So Long Marianne," "Take This Waltz," "Famous Blue Raincoat," and on and on just knocked me out. I left with a huge smile on my face and a feeling that I really had heard one of the great voices in modern music give a performance worthy of his own genius. This was my first time seeing him play, and if it turns out to be the last I can still die happy.
Inna and Rachel:
Thank you for your keen hearing and clarifying LC's wonderful intro to Ain't No Cure For Love. I couldn't make out everything he said and was hoping somebody else could. I will edit the YouTube description to reflect this.
