Still no tickets arrived and I'm at the beginning of the alphabet. Won't believe I'm going till I get them!

Got my tickets on day of release from my local record shop. Have them safely tucked away. Hotel booked and two concerts to look forward too. I sure hope we have better weather then than we are having now - fingers crossed.

Not sure why all this stressing about tickets is happening... for a concert that's still nearly 3 months away.... I've used Ticketmaster for years, and NEVER not received my tickets... sometimes months in advance, sometimes just a week or two, but they always arrive.... just relax and enjoy the Summer folks (if you're having one; it hasn't arrived in the North West yet... ;-) )

I'm not sure if I posted this before but my tickets for Liverpool in 2009 arrived at home here in Ireland the morning of the concert in Liverpool. It was ok because I was able to get them reissued at the venue in Liverpool on the day but it was a hassle having to queue up early (missed the meet up due to this). Most especially, had I not been able to go and had I wanted to sell on the ticket, it would have been a right disaster. As it is, this year, I have one, possibly two extra tickets that I might need to pass on and it's just frustrating that they don't post them out, one wonders what they're waiting for!? Still though I suppose there is plenty time yet but I won't be leaving it until August to try to find out where they are that's for sure.
2009 Liverpool 14/07/09, Dublin 20/07/09, Belfast 26/07/09, Lisbon 30/7/09, Barcelona 21/09/09.
2010 Sligo (x2), Lille 25/09/10 Las Vegas 11/12/2010
2012 Wembley 8/9/12, RHK 11/9/12
O2 London 2013 O2 Dublin 2013

And there's also the tramway. About four stations from the hotel to the venue.

It is approx 30 minutes walk from the concert venue to the hotel. We attended the 2008 concert and did that walk (a little bit further in fact) afterwards and it was quite pleasant, and there were many many others from the concert doing the same walk so there was quite an atmosphere.
2008 - dublin (kilmainham - the best, ever)
2009 - dublin (The Point) and tampa and NY(MSG) and san jose
2010 - sligo (second best) and oakland and portland and las vegas
2011 - lenny and me were resting, so we were
2012 - dublin (kilmainham again) and austin
2013 - dublin (The Point, 2 times)
2014 & 2015-enjoying the memories and saving the pennies; just in case; just in case..............

Don't know anything about the hotel, Gio19, but you will certainly find getting around easy, with Busaras (central bus station, including Airport bus) Connolly station (trains) and the red Luas line (tram) to Kilmainham right beside you there!

Thanks so much TipperaryAnn .
I'm used to foreign cities, but know every one has something special you don't learn till you are really there.
So it will be for Dublin.
BTW can't wait to see the Book of Kells at the Trinity Colleege, a very old dream. It's a funny trip, as I'm a person who spent lot of her time on ancient papers.
Why such a love for LC? Why did he "scratch" me so deeply?
It's like that falcon you can see as my avatar (a great free Lady living in Cleveland, OH) who put her nails on/in my deep, tho' not aware and not caring at all.
That's life.. and much more..

It's always great to make a dream come true! :D And Trinity is lovely, even just to stroll around there.

(PS- hope you're sound sleepers and that your neighbours the trains don't keep you awake in your hotel. I stayed in a railway hotel once and found the rumbling of trains quite a comforting sound. )

(PPS - Great avatar. Reminds me of LC's poem "A kite is a victim", because of the kite/falcon association! )

Thank you Alan, I'm sure I will!

Ann, I see I'll share my nights with the trains, hope it will be comfy to me as well. Anyway we'll be tired strolling around in the city, not only at the Trinity College, so it would perhaps be easier to sleep.
Shame on me, but didn't know LC's poem "A kite is a victim". A little shocking title until I read it all. Sad and true, thanks for letting me know.
