So ppl are just ppl
nothing to it
why do I feel like there is a lot I do not know about life
that it is all been self contained
that there is a common knowledge
which of I am unawares
that clues are all I have
to reality
some abnormalty of proportions insanity
for the corn grows all the time
but time does not ryme
and the slaughterhouses
are full to the brim
of angry consumers
because of our whim
for beef or chicken
Listen!
I only regret the future
if I bedevil the past
this moment will pass\
just as the last
Reality
Reality
breathe deep and live
Re: Reality
You seem to be in that transitioning that happens as we grow older, elazar... that the older we get, the less we're willing to commit to what we think we know, as it seems in its own odd way, to diminish. Your poem reminds me of Leonard's comment about attaching little [no?] value to his own opinions... something very close to that. Would love to get to that place myself, but I'm still in the spot of thinking that, at least a general way, my opinions matter
The key to life and all that seem to be some spiritual exploration... where I've not really gone far enough, yet, but am far more motivated to do so now that my Mom is gone.
Like your poem ~ A LOT !!!
