The Beards Take Manhattan and Brooklyn
We are proud to announce our 2012 New York/Brooklyn tour April 27th-29th. It's been two years since our last visit and we are excited to share our gift of song with our East Coast friends and family. Short but sweet, we will start out in Brooklyn on Friday night with two shows, an early evening gig and a late night set, at currently undisclosed locations (Stay tuned for more information). Then on Saturday we are glowing with anticipation as we share the stage with New York's amazing and high energy folk-punk-klezmer explosion, Golem! at Glasslands Gallery in Williamsburg at 8:30pm. And on Sunday we have the privilege of headlining the 1pm matinee show at the Highline Ballroom with the multi-talented David Tobocman opening. We seriously can't wait! In the mean time check out some of our Bay Area shows..

If anyone gets a chance to see this show its worth it. I saw them in San Francisco when they were the show before Sharon Robinson.
Great voices and a good performance.

They've got a Kickstarter campaign going on now - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/12f ... -of-beards is the link, and they need to raise another $3,156 in 8 days to make a documentary DVD. I also posted a new thread about it.

Thank you all so much for your high praise! We are honored to be the stewards of Leonard Cohen's poetry. We had a wonderful time in New York this year, it was truly amazing. Esther Cohen and friends once again made it out to our Highline Ballroom show, which made it all that much more sweet.

This has been an incredible season and we are about to embark on the grand finale as we set off on our first Pacific Northwest tour to Portland and Seattle, as well as our very first international performance in Vancouver Canada. More info -

On top of our travels we are also capturing all of our Bohemian adventures on film for our upcoming Conspiracy of Beards documentary DVD project. We are inching towards our fundraising goal for our Kickstarter Campaign (We are now 3 days and $2000 away from fully funding our documentary) and will be filming all of our performances in the Pacific Northwest in hopes of delivering them in a Collectors DVD to those who donate.

If you feel flush, you can donate to The Conspiracy of Beards and it's tax deductable. Your donation helps us print all that sheet music, keep the piano in tune and pay rent for our rehearsal space. The beards do this all for you for free. We pay to sing for you (choir members literally pay yearly dues).

The Conspiracy of Beards is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Corporation.

We hope to be in your neck of the woods someday so that we can serenade you.

Thank you all for your high praise! We are proud stewards of Leonard Cohen's musical poetry. We had an amazing adventure in New York this year and were honored to have Esther Cohen and friends come to our sold out show at the Highline Ballroom.

We are about to embark on our first Pacific Northwest Tour and will be in Portland May 31st for 2 shows, followed by our first international performance at Heritage Hall in Vancouver, Canada on June 1st. Then we head to Seattle for a show on June 2nd. You can see the details here - http://conspiracyofbeards.com

Our Kickstarter Campaign to fund the production of our documentary is nearing it's end and we still have about $1000 to raise. A $25 donation will receive the finished DVD as a reward gift. Check out the details here - http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/12f ... -of-beards

Again we appreciate your kind words and support, and we hope to see you at one of our shows in the future!
