Seth MacFarlane, better known as creator of Family Guy (animated sitcom) has come out with a really terrific album which I came across quite accidentally when the cashier at B& N offered a sampler CD of 3 or 4 songs. I went back the next day and got the album. This was back in January and it has been my most played CD since then. IMHO his singing voice would have rivaled the greats of the past and I hope he continues to make more albums. But he is only half the story on this CD- the arrangements and orchestra conducted by Joel McNeely is awesome too.

* I would have titled the album The Night they Invented Champagne - hence the subject line.
