Has Leonard ever sang "Never and Good" at a concert? Is it only on that one CD 'More best"?
I think it is a lovely little song and as many are repeated on several CD's, it seems this song isn't. Or am i wrong?
Whoops, I think this should be on music. Feel free to move it.
Anyone know?

Re: Anyone know?
No, he did not. That was unreleased song which was added as "bonus track" to More Best of and only appeared there.
On the more side information, it seems that in 1994-96 Leonard was recording demos for his next album, and tracks included Never Any Good, unfinished early version of A Thousand Kisses Deep (it's on YouTube), early non-Sharon version of In My Secret Life, and some others. Never Any Good was finished so Leonard put it, along with The Great Event, to 1997 More Best Of. See: http://web.archive.org/web/200805091500 ... ttakes.htm

Re: Anyone know?
A few thoughts on "Never Any Good"...I heard that in the period prior to writing "Never Any Good", Leonard had been going through an Otis Redding phase (as one may be prone to do in a Buddhist monastery!). This is certainly as close as Leonard has ever got to writing a soul song, and in the Nineties, I remember hearing a version of it sung by a black guy on one of the Mount Baldy videos. It would make sense if the words " when you cut me loose forever" were inspired by Otis's "I Can't Turn You Loose".

Never Any Good by Billy Valentine in Armelle Brusq's "Spring 96" documentary.John Etherington wrote:I remember hearing a version of it sung by a black guy on one of the Mount Baldy videos.
Billy Valentine is a jazz vocalist from L.A.
According to his website,
Billy's singing talents have also been in demand as a demo recording artist for such high-profile producers and writers as Gerry Goffin, Mark Isham, Burt Bacharach and Hal David.
