Swooning women...

I was blessed to be in Vancouver with a good friend for the Dec 01 2010 concert and to visit the Granville Art Gallery where the exhibition of the LC Artworks was on display.

I recently read a CBC report about that Vancouver exhibition which included an interview with the Gallery curator, Linda Lando.

I was amused by some of the curator's comments about LC fans who visited the Gallery. (I think she got her numbers wrong but came pretty close).

Linda Lando, curator of the gallery...said the show attracted a range of Cohen fans of all ages..[who] came with stories about Leonard Cohen, tales of sightings, and talked about the songs and their meanings. "We had some people come in that had attended over 40 concerts from Leonard’s most recent concert tour. We had many, many swooning women, still totally taken by Leonard Cohen even [though he is] age 77."

Now I wonder who the curator was talking about?

Thanks for some of the pm's I have been getting....Mary I wish it would have been you with us on this particular journey...

I wouldn't say we were 'swooning' but that is the term given in the interview...I would have called it just expressing how excited we were
to be going to the concert that night and our enthusiasm must have overflowed into being defined as 'swooning' and I now love the image.

My 'friend' and I had just spent 5 precious days together which involved 2 Canadian concerts and a lot more...
