friday afternoon

Post by fishfishquaileye »

so,
another wednesday
the sandwich in the week
neither at the starting
nor the ending
even if you are very ill
I send laughs
and "ha ha ha" to you
this beautiful Wednesday the 10th February 2012

I've been reading a bit about smack, and am wondering if that's your junk of choice. I mean, we all mess up sometimes as to what day it is, but when you're off by several days.. well..

then again, maybe you're just drinking some very cheap hard stuff.. in which case.. [okay, I won't say who this is quoted from].. but.. [as to "keeping tabs on the score"].. you may as well pop some speed to get over the nose dive from booze, while keeping a tab on said speed with a little grass or some hash.. should you get your hands on any.

[I hate to admit it, but I do sort of like "junkie talk"]

[I'm pretty sure I will look back on all of this some day, and.. well, blame it on the blues].. [pretty sure]

anyway, fish, I suggest you cool it on the Jack Daniels and Southern Comfort, and splurge once in a while on a nice single malt. [I don't think you'll have to keep tabs on anything after that] [should be smooth sailin']

later, fish.

.. okay.. first, to transplant your "pome," fish, from another of your reckless breeding grounds

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis by Leonard Cohen

There is no name
for the back of the knee
which dont function well
if you suffer
from M.E.
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis
to give it its proper name
but I call it
Magic Encephalomyelitis
for short.

fishfishquaileye

.. yes, I could see 'Magic' being a bit more manageable than 'Myalgic', with 'Encephalomyelitis' rolling off the tongue more, and so, certainly not in need of any such "short hand." [Leonard is definitely right about that]

so, what's your point, then?

[geez]

I've said this before, and I'll say it again, fish:

get off the junk. [pleeze]

.. okay.. [moving on]..

my zone is half past erogenous
which rhymes with orange
and is another name
for the back
of the
knee

.. now.. not that I know that much about it, but does Mya--uh, Magic Encephalomyelitis really have that much to do with "the back of the knee?".. or

fish, is your ittle-wittle knee bothering you?.. is that what this is about?

is this a real cry for help??.. or "a fish who cried hooray one-too-many-times" sort of thing??.. [I mean, one never knows with you]

you have me thinking now, though, of the new word: 'orangenous'.. which might actually suggest a beta carotene overdose, and probably also needs immediate treatment.

.. you know, all told, fish.. you seem to be in pretty bad shape.

.. as is usual in such instances, I suggest you fill up your bath tub with the proper proportion of fresh water to salt.. [depending on what type of fish you are].. and just allow yourself to have a nice little swim in there. Then, just flop around on a towel, maybe. And you should be good as new.

[works for me, at least]

signed,
Dr. V.D. Flowers [most especially known for her award winning autobiography: All About Halibut].. [don't ask]

edits: I wrote "breading grounds".. instead of "breeding grounds".. [which, when combined with the taboo topic of fish fries 'n such.. is not a happy accident around here] [let's just say]

I suspect that it's actually a cry to get *thrown over the knee ... let's just hope that the fellow who got splashed/or dunked in the last poem takes care of this.

(*please note that I have typed thrown, as opposed to tossed, to avoid any strange slag confusion)

it's too late to do anything about it. Once something has been bronzed, it's like it's solidified like that for that rest of time. You will always go on record now as having been bronzed for "slag confusion," and there's nothing you, or I, or even fish, can do about it. You may as well take credit for it, then.
