The Old Revolution Cover

Post by rick »

If anyone is interested I've posted my rendition of The Old Revolution.

A bit of a different arrangment. I changed the timing on it, from 6/8 to 4/4.

Hi Rick~

I just had a listen....very enjoyable. The change in tempo makes such a big difference in the ambiance of the song. I really like this version.

Thanks for sharing,
Laurie

Hi Rick ~

I love the sound of this cover ~ now tell me, have we given in to electronics and a drum machine  ? An interesting, "light Dylanesque" sound to your voice, too. What is that mideastern-sounding instrument that makes its occasional appearance?

You caught me! GUILTY!

Yes, it's called GarageBand, cool little thing that allows people like me who have no real musical talent to create interesting things when the real musicians are unavailable.

You don't want to hear just me and my guitar. Trust me on this.

Balalaika.

Fleshed it out some more, this program is addictive. Dang. I need to get some work done and stop playing around...
