Hope

Post by lonndubh »

In the darkness
Of a December day
Whilst clawing cloggy clay
I was surprised
By a germ of Hope.

A Full Long Nights Moon
Looked on.

In that December darkness I saw that beautiful full moon looking on last night...

'And when everything else has gone the only thing left is hope'

...And life goes on, because spring is just around the corner!
'Take the breath of a new dawn
And make it a part of you.
It will give you strength'

It really was such a beautiful December moon yesterday ... I wish that I could have seen it eclipse.

I liked that you called it a "germ of Hope" as if it were the moon itself you were planting.

Hi Karren and Cate

Its good to think of the Light coming in

There were no wings beating about
but I did think of the Immaculate Conception.

Goes to show its always good to sow a few late spuds LOL

A song that came into my head this morning and I had almost forgotten how beautiful it was.

Love the song lonndubh...haven't heard it for years...I'd also forgot how wonderful the words are. Thanks for jogging the memory.

(Dug up all my spuds just starting to dig the parsnips now. Luckily it's not clay but its still very muddy...better ditch the thigh boots and get the wellies on)! :)

Hi Brid,
about 10 hours before you we had friends over for dinner and during moonrise on the horizon, one of our guests sighed loudly, "Oh wow, look at the beautiful Moon".

It seems we are all connected ;-) in a not-so-mystical way.
I suppose you have captured what millions of people felt that night;
Lovely poem
lovely moment
...and a need for "hope".

Hello Lonndubh,

A surprise gift of Hope, exposed by the moon... lovely poem, Lonndubh.

Mat, I always think of you, and Cate, when I look up at a full moon – it's now a little ritual :)

Is it 2 years Brid since that last cloggy claw of hope?
...and 4 years since we walked that castle!
