Re: I tried to leave you
"I Tried to Leave You" was written, recorded, performed (from 1974 to 2010) by Leonard Cohen.
Graeme Allwright is a famous interpreter of Cohen's songs, the author of translations - including "Je voulais te quitter". It was released in 1975, one year after Cohen's original version.
It's known that Cohen have named the song by its French title for several times in 1976 (see http://www.leonardcohen-prologues.com/i_tried_to.htm). Anyhow, I guess, he didn't perform a single line from Allwright's translation (as he did with Serge Lama's "Vivre tout seul" = "Bird on the Wire").
