Yes I understand. Without being a maniac a all, spelling miktakes may be sometimes like the parsley flake between the teeth of your smiling opposite at a restaurant table.

Correction made.

As for my nickname, no spelling mistake :

"Chocolate is made from the beans of the cocoa tree. The Swedish botanist Linnaeus named the cocoa bean Theobroma cocoa, meaning “food of the gods,” to reflect its spiritual and social importance to the Mayans and Aztecs. The Mayan and Aztec people believed that chocolate, which they consumed in a bitter drink called “tchocolatl,” provided spiritual wisdom, energy, vitality, and sexual power. The beverage was served at festivities and given to men going into battle."

May this comfort everybody which rest their eyes on it.

Hi Quasand ~

I've actually wondered the same thing. In fact, when Ten New Songs was released, I wondered why it wasn't being played on the black radio stations, and being embraced by the black community ~ with or without Sharon Robinson but, even moreso, with her. It seems such a natural merge.

I had no idea that Leonard come in a variety of racial editions. Every picture I've ever seen of him, he seemed to be white. Interesting. Are the Black Leonard, Korean Leonard, Punjabi Leonard and the other Leonards being suppressed in the media, or are they being used purely on a regional level?

Take care

I think I can (half) remember something about a connection between Leonard and the black panther party. Was Leonard the only white man in their provisional revolutionary government? I can't find the reference anywhere, did I dream this?

How interesting observations Rob and justinburnett. Who never experienced to come in many racial editions sometimes, and to be the only white man in a black panthers party once or twice in a lifetime, I wonder

(P.S. : 'missed a "r" here, too much "e" there, I had to edit. ay....need to edit this post...)

I recall reading something about Leonard's supporting some Black-related cause in England...but, for the life of me, can't remember the details. Whatever it was, I recall thinking that he was supportive of the 'Black cause' in some form or fashion.

I thought it was Bob Dylan that had supported the Black Panthers? Again this is a vestigal memory - it could be a false one! I don't come across many other gay men who like Leonard Cohen - are there any lesbian or gay L.C. listeners?

I've wondered about gay women. Laurie Anderson is extremely popular with the lesbian community. I wanted to go to that pre-concert question-and-answer session, and thank her for her support of Leonard.

The group/cause that I'm thinking of, with Leonard, isn't Black Panthers, but it's definitely a supportive group on behalf of blacks. I'll see if I can find and post its name. Perhaps, it's even on the sleeve of one of his albums?
