The inspectors reported,
please take this as fact,
that after years of research,
no poetry was found.

Yet still they cling
to their invasion,
declare my intention
was to write one.

Dear Teratogen,
In reply to you question, it would be surgical strikes of precisely aimed iambic pentameters (pilotless, of course: we don't want victims of "friendly fire"). If that doesn't work, then a carpet bombardment of metaphors, with a random scattering of "smart" similes thrown in for good measure.
Oh yes, poetry is a weapon of mass distraction.

If you omit the title ( an obvious 21st century reference) , the poem could refer to other situations. I have my own ideas on this, after being surprised .
