Ours arrived today! All the way to Wisconsin!. Very lovely-we will always treasure it. Anne and I were in Vail, Colorado on Leonard's birthday. Anne wore her NY pin as a necklace and we toasted Leonard with a Red Needle.

Today a friend returned from a trip East and brought us a special supplement from the National Post that they picked up in Niagra Falls, Ontario-there are some wonderful pictures of Leonard and some terrific articles-all published on his birthday.

Thanks so much Jarkko and Eija!

Nooooooo, it's n-o-o-o-o-o-o-t,though I confess I considered that fate with regard to mine ~ but then perished the thought [knowing how reality can be transformed to align with our thinking  ].

It was a no-postcard day for me, too ~ however, I'd have been shocked beyond measure had it arrived this soon; though with the hurricane enroute, I was definitely hoping.

Thank you Jarkko! I got my card today :D
Great! But I wonder- how have I gotten it, because the part where was a Street name- the upper part of the "skin" of the paper was ripped off? Of course it was written there, as well as the number of house, but the Street was gone
Well, but I got it this morning, very happy!
See Lizzy, that one tells u~ it is so much better to live in California, even with the Arnie, than in Florida 8)

 ~ Well, I suppose, if you don't mind shredded mail. However, on NPR today, some meteorologists were talking and said, "If you've got to choose a natural disaster, hurricanes would be the best one to choose," and then went on to explain the reasons why  . However, I'll hold off on 'ragging' too much on the mail situation until I see in what condition mine arrives. It could just as easily be representative of our postal system ~ period. It is rather odd that you got yours on the west coast, before I got mine, so much closer to New York [their point of entry]. It sounds like you may be 'known' to your local post office  .

Well, I'm out of the running until at least Tuesday. Even if it would've arrived on Monday, the mail won't be running. I just hope wherever it holds over at, the mailbag stays dry.

Mine arrived over the weekend, while I was away visiting the aged parents. It must have arrived on Saturday, but the post had not been left in the normal place, so I thought it had not come. I just finished on the computer and went into the lounge, and there was Leonard gazing up at me from the coffee table.

Thank you so much for arranging this, Jarkko and Eija. It's a lovely memento.

Received my second card today: a crack in the middle, but who cares?
One for me, the other for a beautiful son who turns 21 on Thursday.

Dear Margaret,
What shocking news to hear that you and your husband share the same address. Throw him out, that's what I say, but keep the Birthday Card, for, let's face it, some things aren't worth throwing out. :) :)
Only joking :?:
Andrew.
P.S. I have a photo of the Fab Four......would that do instead?

Mine, too, in Delaware, in perfect condition. It is even nicer than I had imagined. :D
