It sounds terribly romantic to me, Tinds. I'm so excited for you now. We just need to find out where Ken has gone ...

Surely Diane you know that a yorkshireman's motto when in charge of a kitty is :"two for me one for you "

Tell me about it, Phil! Why do you think I had to get the hats from the charity and pound shops. The good thing is, you will have enough left for a celebratory round, should Tinds select another lucky hippy from her settee.

You forget Diane there is one hell of a yorkshire hippy on the sofa waiting list . It's a pity he is happily married . I will have to reseach the Irish bigamy laws to be sure !

to be sure, you and Tinds have a sweet connection, Phil. I do have my suspicions though, that you are just after the coins that have fallen down the back of her settee.

Now..how's about this? If say 40 of us find 140000/40 = £3500 each and buy it then we have a permanent Cohen base in Barmouth.
One person could offer to be a resident housekeeper and just make sure the dust is dusted away :)
We could ask Leonard to pay the annual running costs and rates etc for his devout fans. There would be a nominal charge for those in the Barmouth40 to stay and a more than nominal charge for Cohen fans not in the Barmouth40 and an extorniate charge for non Cohen fans.

It all makes perfect sense :)

...just taking my monthly trawl thru the forum to see if there is any news and find out that leonard was a clue in a crossword and that my arranged marriage was back on and then cancelled yet again.....

...as for our proposed entry into the welsh property business....a word from the wise...a few years ago a cousin of mine inherited a small cottage somewhere on the edge of the snowdonia national park and after only visiting it a couple of times with his wife and young family a group of welsh nationalists fire bombed the place along with nearly 300 other english-owned properties in the area.....so please ensure that we get a welsh name on the property deeds otherwise the whole project could go up in smoke...and don't even think of trying to fake it with...phllyp ofydd llyptrot...or pedr app needhyll

...as pete says 'it all makes perfect sense'

.......paula has been up to liverpool this weekend visiting her daughter megan...so after a couple of days of sightseeing in liverpool we decided today to have a mini barmouth get together in chester with john and margaret.....

........amongst a very busy agenda the idea of buying a property in barmouth was received with mixed feelings...the subject of breakfast eggs featured strongly in the discussion and may have been the main reason for the negativity concerning the possible purchase ......

.....doubts were also raised about our german walking weekend in september turning into a borussia dortmund supporter's meeting....a motion was carried that we are going to ask for a legally signed assurance from our organiser that no BVB football strip is to be worn over the weekend..... we also decided that we want the inclusion of a clause in the assurance that clearly states that any mention of BVB and or all other football conversations are totally banned.....ta ken
