Ah the Phil I know and love so well is back here. If i recite some of your poems to the drunken crowd in September, will you let me off buying alllllllllll your drink?

Happy Birthday, Bernadine. Just don't eat too much cake today, as the definition of "few" in German dictionaries is different to other countries and may cause unexpected problems on the walking tour.

Beatriz, sorry to hear about your foot, I too have been in plaster after breaking a foot 7 weeks ago. Just now learning to walk again without the plaster or supporting boot! I am sure we shall be OK by September and look forward to seeing you and Meritxell again in Germany.

...dearest bernadine…....due to the ubiquitous overuse of words such as 'awesome' 'amazing' and 'incredible' by the ever increasing number of sychophants on this forum it seems almost embarrassing to wish you a merely 'happy' birthday..........

....however I would like to join both phil henning and the rest of the gang in passing on my congratulations on having successfully vacated the relative safety your mother's womb emerging into a barbaric world filled with hostile and dangerous shopping malls and somehow persevering till you've arrived at this age reasonably intact…..and my sincere hopes that you continue to do so long into the foreseeable future…that of course will entirely be dependent that there will be a future which looks tenuous at best considering the spectacular success rate currently enjoyed by cataclysmically greedy mega-corporations and their servile marionette governments in their manifest goal to ensure there won't actually be one….
