DVD: Charles Aznavour at Carnegie Hall
Re: DVD: Charles Aznavour at Carnegie Hall
I wonder when those performances were. I bought some vinyl LP's from the early 1970's many years ago and more recently converted them onto a couple of cd's. I think he must be well into his 80's by now if he is still alive.
Thanks for reminder of how good he is.

I don't have any of his recordings; wish I did. Ania from the old newsgroup was a fan, too, if I remember correctly.
Ok, I'm disappearing again. Gotta go do taxes

Margaret, Squidgy - this concert was in 1995. According to ol' wiki he is 87 now and still maintaining a full schedule of concerts. I have is latest album with Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra (jazz reworking of his old songs) and his voice is remarkably almost unchanged from his earlier recordings. As the title of one his songs goes 'You'll never hear me say goodbye'
