separately at a glance
ate disagreement
as a dam in the church choir
you glue the pieces of an old days
that gracefully waves of tusks
together broke
as your destination
that you are fertile as the rain flower fertilized
put yourself down to the smile
painted in dozens of ways
of shiny ivory coast
the pain for fear
on silver snake in the rubble of what remained
searched in the garden of eden
found the blowing vocation
but I can not tell
what's on my liver is
just buzzing about the ailment of unconsciousness
like the dragon tower broke
when you only had to ask
Who was there for you
glance of memory

Re: glance of memory
.. I don't know why I'm doing this, as it seems I'm developing quite a [opposite of] fan club. And yet, can the dedicated chick lit critic be deterred by such tactics?.. I'm pretty sure not. [pretty sure]quaileyedsnowfish wrote:separately at a glance

Now, of course, my first question is: who's the chick, fish?.. your illegitimate child by Russ Meyers, maybe?.. If so, I do hope you're showing her the ropes-- uh, actually, I take that back. I suggest you, yourself, could have some further "rope training," given where you've wound up. [yes, Dear Reader: I refer to right here at this lousy (yet highly prestigious) literary forum]
Anyway, I guess it's sort of nice that you thought to share with us all the poor thing's pic, and I do hope, for both your sakes, she has more of an interest in.. oh, I don't know.. trading stamps, maybe. [speaking of trades involving some tongue action] [oh, and speaking of..
.. now, that you found "the blowing vocation".. might not immediately follow from the Garden of Eden, somehow. Remember: as far as Eden goes, the snake hasn't shown up, yet, fish.. [and when he did, well the party was pretty much over at that point].. and so, in that sense, I'm doubtful A & E were up to doing tricks.
but I can not tell
what's on my liver is
Okay, the reason you can't tell "what's on your liver is".. [actually, I just had another case of going completely blank] [I've had those before with fish]
that gracefully waves of tusks
together broke
Now, if you read this about three times, you start to see that there is in fact a coherent sentence here.. it just takes a moment to break down one's resistance to it. I kinda like the sound of it, actually..
just buzzing about the ailment of unconsciousness
like the dragon tower broke
I'm starting to discern a new theme for you, fish.. "waves of tusks together broke".. "like the dragon tower broke"
you're not pregnant, are you?
when you only had to ask
Who was there for you
Okay, immediately I think of that Leonard song: "There For You".. and yet.. do we really want to drag him down to this level of discourse?.. I mean..
[sigh]
yes: Dear Reader, this has been a most uninspired post.. and yet, I do want to suggest to you all that the rather under-appreciated oeuvre [don't you just love that word? "oevre".. it makes me feel just so smart when I use it].. but, as I was saying.. [god, and I actually remembered what I was about to say this time] [wow] .. anyhoo.. when it comes to this rather thorny path I've chosen as my vocation, I do realize that I do have to put in the time, and do the work, etc., with the understanding that some days I may leave my [seemingly hostile] readership -- gosh, I was going to say "underwhelmed".. but actually, hostility is a bit more spicy than that. I mean, maybe I can at least glory in the idea that I'm causing someone somewhere some serious indigestion, perhaps.. and that.. well.. that alone will have to keep me going for now.
okay, fish.. could you at least try to be good?? [for a change?] [my god]..

Actually, will causing someone somewhere some laughter suffice? Quite often, I find that you do... som might as well mention it on occasion. No particular reason to be mentioning it on this one, just did is all.I mean, maybe I can at least glory in the idea that I'm causing someone somewhere some serious indigestion, perhaps.. and that.. well.. that alone will have to keep me going for now.
