Afterlife ( A yorkshireman view )

Post by Yorkshire Lad »

As time ticks by and the pendulum swings
My mind concentrates on what living brings
But once in awhile I pause to try
And answer the question pertaining to why

Why am I here and where am I going
It tears me apart the fact of not knowing
Where do we go when a shortage of breath
Creates a reaction that instigates death

I try not to dwell on matters so deep
They only result in a lack of sleep
But one thing I know when I meet the grim reaper
I hope it is somewhere considerably cheaper

I love the humour you bring to such a grave question.

Yeah, I know Byron and it didn't occur to me til I saw it on the page and then wondered should I leave it. You can see what I decided.

Just remember, the alternative is a burning question... no plot required and the answer may be blowin' in the wind.
