In the mind’s inebriation,
In the heart’s sobriety,
In the disambiguation
Of the soul’s anxiety
From the water’s irrigation
Of reason’s compliancy
And from the wine’s dehydration
That emotes defiantly

There exists a conversation
That will answer quietly
The question of this translation
Resonating stridently:
Love will bear accommodation—
In its notoriety—
To the fear of admiration
That destroys so violently.
