at the touch of fear my doubt draws me in. to struggle. basic needs satisfied. the books are on their shelves. my unity divided. my interests are set. once in a while a gun is drawn. but i don’t dwell on it.

i wanted to see a great bridge. like in brooklyn or at some theater. i settled for a building with a view of an empty l.a. river. it was a way to pass the time. i guess.

i took my bridge. i took my touch of fear. i stayed at a motel with the windows open. a humid breeze causes sweat to edge on my brow. i was a devilish maudlin in t-shirts design. challenge.

i had a bottle of medicine. i decided to take a sugary sleep.
