My Event

Sunday, not in New York
the sun and the warmth in my back garden
my body reclining
my face in the sun
and shades to keep me cool
and Leonard in my ears
courtesy of my trusty walkman
and I climbed the twilight mountain
and I sang about the view
and then it was lunch
my event was over

Oh yes, I know, Peter......I can't remember whether I said it here, or said it to Margaret, afterward [one or the other], but I said his new album is kind of like poetry set to music, and even though he temporarily 'abandoned' his publishing of a book of poetry, in lieu of this new album, he's doing both at the same time with "Dear Heather."
