Yep..I think he'll do it! But it will be a quickie trip back to Germany (in top shape, of course!), and then back to California. Things are starting to fall into place .

Does anyone have any info on how Dino did in the Bonn Marathon as per his tweet of March 26th?

Mary, I'm not able to access Facebook at work (and of course all the details are there ) but I think I remember that Dino ran at least half the race, if not more, and then his lungs simply gave out. He'd been REALLY sick with a virus the previous couple of weeks and that sort of took its toll, but I give him credit for even trying when you feel miserable! I'm sure he will ace it next year....if he's not on tour

His supporters were waving "Dino flags"!

Bless his heart! As sick as he was, he still attempted to run . Am so glad to hear that he recovered nicely from his illness. Take care of your health first, there are always other marathons.

Another chapter of Dino and the Red Socks - this time in Gothenburg, Sweden on August 12, 2010.

As I reported on the Gothenburg Concert thread, I had quite an adventure when I entered the Scandinavium at the accessible ground level entrance. I first ran into Rafael Gayol who was returning from a stroll. He was very charming and wonderful. I asked Rafael if he would give Dino Soldo a small packet with red socks. (see arrow)


Rafael agreed to give the socks to Dino saying, He will love this

After the concert was over, as I was walking back towards the direction of the hallway by which I entered, I heard a voice calling, "Arlene, I wore your red socks" and saw a foot sticking out from between the curtains next to the stage (hiding the unused arena area).

Peeking out between the curtains was our dear sweet wonderful Dino with a brilliant smile. After a bit of security fuss, I was allowed to go behind the curtains (="backstage") so we could have a short chat and take some photos.

Dino was so warm and friendly, charming and generous with his time. What a delightful man.



Now I have to stock up on more red socks for the final five concerts. Mmmm... I wonder if there will be early entry or if the band will roaming around the merch stands when they are back in North America.

As yet, I have not stumbled upon the gentleman you refer to.
Dino Soldo looks nice, but I have to say Rafael is gorgeous and I think he too is a gnetleman for passing on your socks!

I am still in love with Mr. Leonard Cohen at the present time, and cannot forsee falling out of love with himmmmmmmmmmmm.................
