In January 2009, the tour arrived in New Zealand. Reviewing the NZ concert Simon Sweetman in The Dominion Post (Wellington) of 21 January wrote "It is hard work having to put this concert in to words so I'll just say something I have never said in a review before and will never say again: this was the best show I have ever seen."
If Simon had been at either of the Sligo concerts he might have had to eat his words !.
Tree and plaque a great idea, let us know how the funding is to be arranged.
Peace.

Is there any particular colour associated with The Unified Hearts logo :?: .

I am going to Lissadell tomorrow bringing a gift of a plant
" Crocosmia Masoniorum Altamon"
from Altamont Gardens in Carlow,
propagated by my friend, the late, Corona North-Lecky-Watson,
who upon her death left Altamont House and Gardens to the People of Ireland.
It will be a fitting enhancement to the garden in the environs of frelander's "Canadian Maple" planted in Lissadell ;-) .

I've seen lots of colours associated with the Unified Hearts logo. Mainly black and red or blue. I used to think the blue was original but read somewhere this week that black and red is? I'll try and find the info I was reading and post it here but incase I draw a blank can someone else step in and confirm which?

I was at Altamount Gardens earlier this year and they are amongst the most beautiful of the places I've seen on our island. Have pics if anyone wants a link. Give my regards to everyone at Lissadell Mick!

I am sure musicmania's pictures will capture some of the beauty of Altamont.
Glad you liked the Gardens, musicmania, I was involved with Corona and her sister, Diana, in the early restoration work.
In the meantime here is a link wherein you can read about Corona and her beloved Gardens.
(come to think of it, Altamont might be a good place for a Concert ) :!: ;-) .

I don't know the first thing about the heart but blue and stone work really well together so you have my vote. Is it going to be just the heart or have you finalised the quote too. The garden link was fab. Thanks a million.

I think the Unified Heart symbol is normally blue, but best use your own judgement.

I wonder did the Sligo Champion publish the tree planting picture ?

In the meantime tonight on RTE Radio 1.
John McKenna pays personal tribute to Leonard Cohen in "The Poetry Programme".
Mon.to Fri. last week "Risin' Time" 6.30 am on RTE Radio 1, had a 5 minute talk segment devoted each day to Leonard,
did anyone record or are there links to it ? .

Have checked this out. The segment is called The Living Word but they do not have any of the recent segments for playback. They do have 2009 archived but nothing for 2010. Have checked podcasts as well, nothing there either. Anyone else know how to access these?

Thanks once again Mike for everything

No question ... Leonard's signature had not changed dramatically!! ;-)

Sincere thanks to the management and staff of the Pier Head Hotel in Mullaghmore, Leonard's 'home' while he graced us with his presence in Sligo, who have made available to Carlowmike and I, Leonard's signature, which he gave to staff.

This really is the genuine one folks!! :D

I have downloaded these recordings Mon, Tue Wed and Friday - there was something wrong with Thursdays. I'm not sure how to put them up, but can try to email them to you if you send me a pm with your email address.
